Meet a Regular Donor
Auckland born and bred, Adam Palmer works as a truck driver in the roading industry. He is an avid motorcyclist and dog owner, and has watched the city he calls home transform into the metropolis it is today.
Adam has been donating to Child Cancer Foundation regularly for over 10 years, and also donates to at least nine other charities. He donates blood on a regular basis – 23 donations so far – because he says he never knows when he might need it back.
“I decided to help and donate to Child Cancer Foundation because I feel it is a worthy cause and no child should have to suffer with such a cruel and destructive infection and know that one day they will find a cure for cancer. I donate to a lot of charities and am lucky I can try help out and support them the best I can. It may not be weekly but any little bit helps and it adds up over the year!”
“I would like the families and children to know that I feel for them and they are in my thoughts and prayers. I wish them a speedy recovery and stay positive"
Every year, thousands of kiwis like Adam generously give from their own pocket to support families impacted by child cancer. Many others give their time and volunteer to make the work we do possible - keep an eye out for some of them on the streets of your community on Friday 17 and Saturday 18 March.
