Our Superheroes - Luka Wolfgram

In ‘Our Superheroes’ Luka Wolfgram shares his family’s journey alongside his younger brother Kosta, who passed away from brain cancer in March last year. In his honest and sometimes painfully raw 5 minute documentary Luka has captured an experience that no child, parent or sibling should have to go through.

"Our Superheroes" has won the New Zealand On Air Audience Favourite Award and Media Empowerment Award at The Outlook For Someday Awards; and earlier this year Luka was a recipient of an award in Parliament for the New Zealander Youth Champion of The Year award for his film and efforts to raise awareness and funds for childhood cancer.  Luka's short film has attracted attention both here in New Zealand and internationally.

I was heartbroken when I lost my little brother and best friend Kosta.  I wanted to create a film that shows our grief and love for Kosta.  I also wanted to ask adults to help our children fighting cancer because we need better treatments, more help with funding so that we can find a CURE! Children can't fight alone, so please fight for them and with them.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart -  Luka.

"Our Superheroes" has been selected to be screened in Times Square New York as part of the AMHS Film Festival in October 2017.  Luka will be attending to hold the torch for his little brother Kosta and to continue raising awareness and funding for childhood cancer.

If you would like to make a donation in honour of Kosta and Luka and in support of little superheroes with cancer, you can do so here.  Thank you from all of us!
