Kiwi kids to wear their support for the Child Cancer Foundation
All
Black Keven Mealamu and radio personality Jay-Jay Feeney have teamed up
with the Child Cancer Foundation and designed a series of limited
edition children’s tees, available through JK Kids Gear nationwide.
Each tee retails for $19.95 of which $10 goes to the Child Cancer
Foundation to help children and families affected by childhood cancer.
The full range hits shelves during the Child Cancer Foundation Appeal
Week (10 – 16 March) and can also be purchased at
www.jk.co.nz
Keven drew inspiration from his own family to come up with a unique
monkey design using the Child Cancer Foundation Beads of Courage; the
unique, coloured beads that children receive for each treatment or
milestone in their cancer treatment.
“The beads the Child Cancer Foundation uses are brilliant so I
definitely wanted to include them. I have a pretty bad cauliflower ear
that everyone notices when they meet me, and my kids are little monkeys,
so it all sort of came together in this design. It is from me – with
help from my family and friends – to all the kids and families that go
through this ordeal,” says Keven Mealamu.
Designed with Kiwi girls in mind, Jay-Jay’s tee features a bejeweled
handbag on a bright pink background.
“You can’t help but be inspired by the bravery of children with
cancer and what the Child Cancer Foundation does to support them. The JK
Kids T-shirts are a great way for Kiwi families to get behind the Child
Cancer Foundation and help children with cancer by wearing one of these
colourful designs,” says Jay-Jay Feeney.
The full Child Cancer Foundation JK Kids Gear range is available for
both boys and girls in sizes 1-12. Visit your nearest JK Kids store to
get a special t-shirt and help the Child Cancer Foundation.
