The Child Cancer Foundation recognizes the importance of protecting an individual’s privacy and therefore is fully committed to following the regulations set out by the Privacy Act 1993. We will take all necessary steps to ensure an individual’s information is protected from misuse or disclosure.

What type of information is collected?
 
Forms submitted on this site require certain types of personal information in order for us to carry out transactions on this site.
 
The following information may be collected:
  1. Contact information (Name, email, phone, address etc)
  2. Aggregated data and unique identifiers – Measure of site traffic and analysis of supporter numbers (this does not identify people personally).
 
What is my personal information used for?
 
  1. To process any transactions that you might make on our site:
    Donations
    Providing and distributing receipts
    Purchasing a Child Cancer Foundation product
 
  1. To help provide any other services that you may have requested:
    Enquiring about holding a fundraising event
    Enquiring about becoming a Child Cancer Foundation volunteer or member
 
  1. To send out donor acknowledgement letters and thank donors for their donations.
 
  1. To inform supporters about upcoming fundraising initiatives and other activities of the Foundation.
 
  1. To conduct internal analysis.
 
  1. To communicate to our supporters through direct mails and newsletters.
 
During the year the Child Cancer Foundation will send you communications that we feel are appropriate to the nature of your relationship with us. For example if you made a donation or volunteered during our Annual Appeal we may contact you regarding future street appeals.  
 
If you are receiving communication from us that you no longer wish to receive than please contact us 0800 424 453 or by email info@childcancer.org.nz  and we will address the issue. You will always have the option to opt-in and opt-out of communications or services at anytime.

The Foundation does not have access to your credit card or account details sent through Flo2Cash and the information is not stored electronically by the Foundation.
 
Purchasing and delivery of products
 
The Child Cancer Foundation has a range of merchandise that can be purchased online from the Child Cancer Foundation website. 
 
Personal information is collected for receipting and delivery purposes to process the transaction. Your personal information will only be used for other communication purposes if you opt-in to receive more information from the Child Cancer Foundation.
 
Postage and packaging
 
All merchandise sent by courier will incur a postage and packaging charge which will be highlighted when completing the purchasing process.
 
Delivery timeframes
 
Orders for merchandise will be processed and sent out within 3 – 5 working days.
