Child Cancer Foundation to benefit from Brick Art

21 Feb 2011

New Zealand's first Brick Art Mural was unveiled in Christchurch, raising funds for our Christchurch Family Place which was severely damaged during the earthquakes

The 25 square metre mural on the corner of Victoria and Salisbury Street was revealed on February 8th. Mayor Bob Parker attended the unveiling along with some of the Foundation's children and More FM. The Crusaders rugby team were also on hand to help with the landscaping of the site for the "Greening the Rubble initiative."

Austral Bricks launched the project after hearing about the damage to the Christchurch Child Cancer Foundation Family Place. Their goal is to raise funds to create a new haven for children with cancer and their families. The 'Christchurch Family Place' is one of four family places throughout New Zealand which are available to families of children with cancer, as a place that is 'theirs' to take time out from hospital and treatment.

You can be part of this exciting project and help raise money for the Child Cancer Foundation by sponsoring the Brick Art mural. All money received will go directly to the Child Cancer Foundation.
