Bartercard form innovative partnership with the Child Cancer Foundation

07 Jul 2011 Bartercard Foundation

The Child Cancer Foundation has joined with Bartercard to form an innovative two year partnership which will help tackle the tough financial challenges currently facing the charity sector.

The Bartercard Foundation supports charities that have a great cause.  The Foundation assists by helping the charity raise Bartercard Trade Dollars.

The support will allow the Child Cancer Foundation to offset awareness and fundraising campaign costs. Child Cancer will benefit from the opportunity to take part in Bartercard trade events and tap into a vast new business network.

Trade dollars will also be used to help achieve cost neutral fundraising events, contribute to costs related to Child and Family Christmas parties, camps and memorial days, help produce information and cancer packs for families and to fund basic necessity costs for families.

Child Cancer Foundation CEO Sarah Thomson welcomed the new approach: “The tragic earthquakes in Christchurch, the first back in September, 2010, have created unprecedented challenges for charities. Our new partnership with Bartercard is a fantastic new strategy to offset costs and help us to continue our much needed support of children with cancer and their families.”

Bartercard Foundation Chairman and Bartercard New Zealand CEO, Paul Bolte said: “We feel the Child Cancer Foundation is an excellent recipient charity for funds donated to the Bartercard Foundation over the next two years  “We are really looking forward to working with The Child Cancer Foundation team. They are very passionate about making a difference in people’s lives with the work they do and we know our members will get behind this charity.”
