A treat for twelve deserving mothers
14 Apr 2010
Twelve mothers were treated to a special night of pampering with a makeover by TVNZ make-up artists and dinner cooked by some of the Masterchef contestants!
Looking after a child who is undergoing treatment for cancer is a difficult time for any parent, their main priority being the health of their child. However twelve mothers were given some special treatment of their own during appeal week, a night of pampering from our friends at TVNZ and Masterchef.
The deserving mothers were treated to having their hair and make-up done, courtesy of the make-up team at TVNZ, before appearing on Close Up with Mark Sainsbury.
A three-course meal was then cooked for them by some of the Masterchef contestants. Tamati Coffey, Bernadine Oliver-Kerby and Jenny-May Coffin were among the celebrity waiters on-hand for the night making sure that no ones glass was empty.
As well as being treated to a night of pampering, the evening provided an opportunity for the mothers to meet one another, have a laugh, enjoy great food and company.
The Child Cancer Foundation would like to thank TVNZ, Masterchef, Countdown, Main Course, Horse and Trap, and The Drake for helping to put together such a special night.
