Sponsors
The Child Cancer Foundation recognises the vital and valuable contribution and support from our Sponsors and Partners.
Our Sponsors, Support Partners and Business Partners help us ensure no child or their family will ever walk the childhood cancer journey alone.
We receive no government funding and rely on the generosity and support of all our partners.

Hyundai Motors NZ Ltd, 100% locally owned and operated, is proud to be a Gold Star sponsor of the Child Cancer Foundation and to support the Foundation’s key initiatives, the ‘Beads of Courage’ Appeal and ‘Hyundai Wheels of Courage’ support programme.
The Beads of Courage Appeal is supported by Hyundai and its nationwide dealer network. Beads of Courage is a special programme to honour each brave step that a child takes on their childhood cancer journey.
This year our target is to sell 75,000 ‘Supporter Beads Bracelets’ in Appeal Week. One for each of the 75,000 treatments and procedures children with cancer receive each year on their journey.
Hyundai Wheels of Courage is a fundraising and awareness programme that launched in November 2007. A Hyundai Santa Fe, kindly donated by Hyundai, is travelling round New Zealand destinations. The Hyundai Santa Fe is the prize for the Supporter Bead competition in 2010.
Hyundai is one of the world’s premier automakers, selling in 193 countries and employing 50,000 people. Hyundai New Zealand has experienced significant growth over the past 7 years. Currently Hyundai is the number one selling diesel passenger vehicle manufacturer in New Zealand, holds 8.56% in passenger market share, and 7.20% total market share for 2009, was 3rd in passenger sales in December 2009, is number two in SUV sales for 2009 and has numerous new locations among its 23 dealerships.
Hyundai’s sponsorship of the Child Cancer Foundation is a further extension of its widespread and long term support for the communities in New Zealand. Visit www.hyundai.co.nz
Professionals Real Estate is one of our founding sponsor and fundraising partners of the Child Cancer Foundation.
The Professionals has made a significant difference in the lives of many children with cancer and their families through the provision of the Sunshine Lodge holiday homes in Taupo and Queenstown. These fully-furnished and equipped homes come as welcome retreats to the families who are dealing with the challenges of caring for a child with cancer.
Both the Taupo Sunshine Lodge and the Queenstown Lodge receive high occupancy from patient families.
Each year, the Professionals team gets out and about on the streets to collect money for the Annual Appeal. In many areas around New Zealand, the local offices initiate specific appeal week activities to get the staff and their community involved the campaign.
The Professionals have also assisted the Foundation with the purchase of properties in Auckland and Wellington for the Family Places. These are located near the hospitals, providing a safe haven for families and a break away from the hospital atmosphere. The Family Places enable families to meet others facing the same challenges and receive information and support on issues of childhood cancer. It also gives the children with cancer and their siblings an environment to relax and play. Recent support has gone towards purchasing a building in Grafton Road, Auckland which operates as a National Centre, housing the Child Cancer Foundation and The Family Place.
