Holiday homes
Long months of treatment can take a significant financial toll on families, and finding funds for a much-needed holiday can be very difficult.
The Child Cancer Foundation families are fortunate to have access to two Sunshine Lodge holiday homes in Taupo and Queenstown, as well as the Little Elms Holiday House in Hawke’s Bay which they can book rent-free for one week.
Sunshine Lodge Holiday Homes
The Child Cancer Foundation has two Sunshine Lodge holiday homes in popular resort towns, Taupo and Queenstown.
These homes are well resourced and provide families with the opportunity to spend time together in a relaxing setting. The holiday homes are also used by bereaved families so as a family they can have special time together to remember and honour their deceased child.
The Child Cancer Foundation has been able to provide families with this opportunity through the generosity of the Professionals Real Estate Group who have funded and maintained the homes. The Foundation is grateful for the ongoing partnership with the Professionals in working together to meet the needs of children with cancer and their families.

Little Elms
The Little Elms Holiday house is situated in Hawke’s Bay and offers a three-bedroom, two-bathroom house that is fully furnished.
The Child Cancer Foundation is grateful to the dedicated truckers in the Hawke’s Bay region (Trucking for Hawke’s Bay Child Cancer Trust), who took on the Little Elms facility project.
